Hurricane-Force Winds

POSTED: 1:10 pm CDT March 25, 2007

Centripetal force is the external force required to make something move in a circular path at a constant speed.

A hurricane's wind speed can reach anywhere from 74mph to well over 200mph.

And sometimes it's hard to show you just how dangerous those winds can be.

Here's NBC's Robert Hagar with an experiment to show you just how strong and treacherous a hurricane's winds really are.
